The Scrum framework and its role
As we wrote earlier, Scrum is a framework for agile project management, which follows an iterative and incremental development methodology. In the Scrum framework, the project is carried out in defined periods, called sprints, which usually last 2-4 weeks. It is important during the training that you master and are confident in using the Scrum Master toolkit.
The Scrum Master certification and its importance
Scrum Master is an international qualification awarded by the Scrum Alliance or the Scrum.org can be obtained through accredited training institutions. The former is valid for 2 years after acquisition, the latter for an indefinite period. As we have written most of the time, Scrum, like almost all soft-skills, is "learn by doing" based, so you don't become proficient in your work from the paper, but it may be worth considering getting a certificate for your own career path.
Training online vs onsite
The advantages of traditional classroom courses include more personal contact with trainers and other participants, personal feedback and indirect leadership experience. Online courses allow for greater flexibility and more convenient scheduling, but the proliferation of Home Office means that it is important to be familiar with the online toolkit.
Both options are good ways to learn, and you will probably encounter both in your work.
How do I prepare beforehand?
No previous qualifications are necessary, but an advantage.
Soft-skills are preferred in Scrum Master's knowledge base, but with a software development framework, it doesn't hurt to be familiar with the basic concepts.
